Who is this guy?

More than you probably wanted to know...

Hello! As you probably have figured out by now, my name is Mike (Michael, actually, but nobody calls me that unless they're a blood relative!)  Although born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, I moved to the east side of Columbus, OH, in July of 2003.  I am currently residing about 5 miles west of Downtown Columbus in the area knows as Westgate.

I was raised in Brentwood Borough (a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA), and graduated from what was then the Brentwood Jr./Sr. High School in 1987. From there, I spent five years at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing in 1991, and my Master of Arts in Professional Writing (MAPW) in May of 1992.

Back in October of 1994, I bought my first home in Pittsburgh's Greenfield area, just a few miles from the Downtown area. The house is an old frame structure and is more than 100 years old. Needless to say, I have a plethora of home improvement projects going at all times.

I am currently employed as the Technical Writer for the Transition Services Team of Seimens IT Solutions and Services. Prior to leaving Pittsburgh, I was also a teacher for several night classes at The International Academy of Design and Technology.

My hobbies primarily include Music, Computers, and my pets.
